raula Posted January 8, 2006 ^^^^"hooyada waa lama huraan" Academic menopause “The brain is wider than the Sky†Emily Dickinson was somewhat right Nowadays my mind seems comatose No efforts to utilize the simplest tasks The tiniest fathoms takes minutes Sometimes even the result is blank More like my sympathetic system is shutdown Employing the parasympathetic coordination Where my erotic sensibilities, theological challenges, Visual liveliness and vigor, political range, versatility, Has been slowed down to accommodate The early stage of rational menopause Oh my meager collection of intellectual archives Is under the invasion of a mental COUP I am consoled by friends that It’s one of life’s stage Perhaps I am exaggerating, but is a huge worry I cannot compose a simple thought, or if I do I loose track of the initial necessitation There used to be a sense of guided tour in my senses At the moment there is a cloud of asymmetry, Reclusiveness, strangeness, anonymously, Depth of darkness, muddy oil tank, obscurity, Generalized mysteriously unrequited love My accomplishments seem like a barefoot rank No philanthropically nebulous in the future horizon As I always dreamed of…….speaking of dreams They are like a traditional poet composing a piece By breaking a line where there is no syntactic pause Unrealistic and bizarre, or even over-romantic Now realizing my insufficiency, I have adopted To the notion of memory relapses and absences The things that is constant with me now Are the exalted scripture-the Quran and Hadiths As I read to boost my memory and divine gain Indeed no knowledge, worldly experiences Are ingrained and beneficial forever except Those that are prescribed and are true revelations, A guidance and the encyclopedia of our mystified world ……………………………. the words of Allah s.w. As I fight for the salvage of worldly archives I hope I only remember the best of memories And those that will enhance my deeds Youmul-qiyaama Academic menopause is acquisitiveness But divine menopause is remorseless…………….. Keep your beliefs solid; for sure this world is cold

I am going for the gold†She uttered, but meant the gold tanning lotion She was determined; no faarax is going to make me sink Garbasaar and Dirac, are you crazy? She thought Why in god’s world when I can have J.LO’s champagne collection It was Sunday night when she concluded that it was time Time to UPGRADE, while hypnotic over “Desperate housewives†to be continued. raula Posted December 2, 2007 Iam in Hibernation season..I am compounded by MENTAL MENOPAUSE(not really academic)+ Seasonal Affective disorder (istaqfurulah)...And shock from yesterday's winter storm..so perhaps no creative writing for me till i supersede my block. Gosh though i had fun back in the days!
hodman Posted December 3, 2007 ^^^ It takes a storm like that to remind us what MN has in store for the next few months. SAD looks like a real possibility if this goes on. Every winter I daydream of moving away to somewhere warm and then spring comes along and I don't remember till tha next one

raula Posted March 30, 2010 ^^Iam trying-less time, perhaps not much of mental stimulation for writing. Here is one that is unfinished/untitled..will finish soon! At some corner of her despondent mind The fumes of haunting unruly corpses and vultures Of tribal politics, still poignant, linger by her hairy nostrils What do you hear laughing one? How the ogre of cultural complacency, Swept the fruitful progeny of this country, By the talismanic current of sudden realization That your ancenstoral shadows shall rest upon The highest throne, like armpits of a goddess, Shield you like a palm, cusped, nesting on a thorn Your love for your country, your fate, is immeasurable ardor for your clan, without equal! Holding your country by the throat so feast on the implausible pleasure, whistle on money you do not reckon laugh at the sight of the sordid poor, whom you have stripped off their bucolic fidelity to the piece of earth that gave them life and liberty the mighty soil that soothes their lineage’s souls you cavern of a cruel heart, have you not have flattened the horizon of this country? from distant, I smell the blue scent of burnt flesh the subtle perfume of the lost innocence the roar of the livid ocean, saturated with blood of countrymen Laughing one, there is no cure for this one, we will never regain our lost virginities, our girls will not be picked from their princely beds,
