I don't even think clans within D Block will align politically let alone H and D. I do agree we need to move on to actual party systems.

It is same for all other clans. That is why political parties based on ideas is the way forward. This nonsense may resonate with some disgruntled folks, but it adds to the polarisation of the country on clan lines and hence continuation of the status quo.

I don't think it is based on any agreed alliance. Since clan war started with these two beefing, there were always general belief that, it is they who can sort out their mess.

Poor Maareeye didn't get the message. Laftagareen and company wanted the northern guys to join N&N and build the so called coalition later.. A big N&N convention is coming to Baidaba jast before the election and some Northern guys want to join in but with some caveat. 

And by the way, a guy who just came from, Mogadishu this week told me that premier Rooble was working for his sub clan and especially Abdikarim Guuleed for the president. He said the HG group in Mogadishu own more than half of the nothern delegates and 90% of the Banadiri members chosen in Mogadishu.

If some of us thought Rooble was crowning C/laahi Deni or Hassan Sheikh, that idea had been put tp rest. Reerku kursigay rabaan. Elders who complained about being cheated were given a nice hand shake at night and disapeared. 

The big issue is if Mr. Guuleed fails to garner enough votes and pass to the second round where would his group go? Farmaajo or C/laahi Deni?

Politics is the art of making things possible. After this ugly election, it should be political parties, but Xaaji and company can't play these games.

Politics is the art of making things possible. After this ugly election, it should be political parties, but Xaaji and company can't play these games.
