IL CAPO Posted November 16, 2004 Part Uno: You had so much potential People believed you were a special I told you never to lose focus Resist the temptations of the easy life I wish I knew what was coming. You said I was your role model I wanted you to become your own man I thought you would become a noble man Who would always remain a humble man You said I was the elder brother You craved for but never had You know I always treated you Like my own little brother.... I wish you never lost focus I wish you remained in school. You fell right into the devil's trap and today you became a monster A drug user and dope dealer I never took a sip from the devil's well Why the hell did you? I insisted being on the right track Resisted all the temptations Why did you stop looking up to this man? I warned you to stay away from so and so Why did you choose to ignore me? IL CAPO Posted November 16, 2004 Part Twere: I never used a Gun or Knife to earn People's respect and admiration you know I live clean and earn every penny I get in the right way you mug innocent people for a living pull a knife on everybody with loot while running around with bad people you consider and call "Homeboys" a true "Homeboy" should discourage you to join and be part of any Gang I am your true "Homeboy" Abdulahi* the one who always stood by you you used to love hanging out with me but now you can't even look me in the eyes scared that your eyes will betray you you don't have to hide from me I will always have time for you as I only condemn your actions but never your soul or our friendship We all make mistakes my brother but only few are brave enough to admit and acknowledge their mistakes you are a brave young warrior and I am sure you are destined for greatness, more than what this life is currently giving you so take my hand and give me the chance to lead you to the promised land and please don't ever let it go again. IL CAPO Posted November 17, 2004 when sh!t hits the fan who do you turn to? feeling alone in crowded room because nobody knows you your boys say they will always be down question is would they be down when there is no money to be found people say they like to hustle but have they tried pushing in the rain the struggle gets to be the hardest when you start to see the darkness of your brain live life day by day, night by night dreaming of nothing else of money and fame if it was you against the world would you really be able to handle that? never knock the hustle because sometimes that's all people know how to do rhyme after rhyme of love, money, shooting guns and trying to get honey watching people move ahead in life in front of you is never easy yet people will always be there to test you on anything, believe me believing in what you do with all your heart and never look back and when worst gets to worst hit the ground and never run but always watch you back could you choose to put your life on the line for someone that you love? or would you be the person that is making life hard trying to kick up dust learn your lesson's in life but most of all learn when to retreat but when you focus on nothing else but the rhyming and the beat you only end up down on your knees.
