IL CAPO Posted October 25, 2004 The elders of Somalia are perishing and losing their knowledge What's worse is that the youth decrease their enrollment in schools everyday we turn on the news viewing the Iraq death tolls while ignoring what's happening in our land not realizing actuality, our minds are flooded with gross reality shows in ways we are helpless so we follow along with the culture flow if we ever get a sense of knowledge we are hated for speaking up censorship makes us believe its a happy world, yet instead it's passed when kids gather to watch a guy get executed teens getting killed off rapidly idiotic newscasters like BBC rejoice Solution: throw the blame of violence on your parents for deceiving you academic skills crashing because of popularity and looks funny how a kid will commit a murder before ever hitting the books schools aren't safe place to reside anymore and you can't study without getting harrassed yet parents still send their kids to school to learn not how to read & write but how to cock a machine gun and fire before ever asking them what they learned We love Somalia..no doubt about that even without the freedom of speech but when guns bust, we ask Somalia why dont you love us? we are your beloved Children we are your last hope for we are the kids of today but the leaders of tomorrow. GOD BLESS SOMALIA.
IL CAPO Posted October 26, 2004 The soft sand of my Motherland swallowed my painful tears I carry my grief deep inside me behind my fragile baby flesh and beyond my jaded adult eyes my pain & sorrow relate to each other I've never been a child nor had a childhood the noisy lullaby of the bullets flying by keep me awake all night long i dream of my lost innocence despise my naughty and benevolent ways I close my eyes and dream of running away escaping from my pain and nightmares the lost years of an innocent little child through the war I lost all my friends and all my dreams and ambitions just faded standing here fearing of all the things that are unseen the day they decided to caution me from the aging ways of the painful reality cutting the same hands that feed me hoping the blood will lead me to the desert end of my long journey.
