Eye Thought

I thought eye understood life

maybe I should have saw what resided

over it a bit more

 

I thought

 

I thought eye lived life

that breathing was the only

prerequisite that needed to

be fulfilled so I could see

life's course

 

I thought

 

I thought eye

if eye could see in between

the words I write that if I

wrote down what eye saw

I would be relieved

and that release was the answer

 

I thought

 

eye thought that if

I smiled enough

laughed enough kept

everyone around me

happy that it would

save mine

 

I thought

 

I thought

free resided within

each exhalation of my pen

then again my

 

pen thinks too much.
