galbeedi Posted February 26, 2022 If the Americans and the EU stops Russia from using the Swift banking system, Putin will suffer very quickly. He might ship his energy but won't get paid. It happened to Venezuela few years ago. Venezuela shipped millions of barrels of oil, but the money was kept in New York banks, so they decided not to sell anymore since they don't get paid. The stupid EU is refusing now. I read that the Russians are bombing Turkish /Ukrainian drone production facilities and other engine making factories. Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar Posted February 26, 2022 The way Ruushka invaded Yukreyn seems weird to me. Rushing quickly in advance to Kyiv, without securing around it and other major cities; helicopters flying very low when the land below is enemy land and in hostile territory. It seems like Ruushka is treating its Yukreyn forces as minuscule threat.

I noticed that, they went in like they dealing with small harmless militias Completely different style of fighting than American did Iraq, Afghanistan

maakhiri1 Posted February 26, 2022 BTW, ask yourself, what is the prize of energy cost increase if this drags on, I am already paying additional $30 extra in fuel This will cascade and unless resolved quickly, everyone will pay not just Russia
baala xoofto Posted February 26, 2022 It seems Russians are being pushed back in many fronts. The Kyiv front is proving very difficult for Russians to advance any further. The supply lines are being harassed. The US/West is supplying valuable intelligence to the Ukrainians for pin point accuracy attacks. I would be highly surprised if Russians last the next week or so. This is shaping to become the mother of all defeats. After this war ends, the Russian Bear will be left with no teeth.
Che -Guevara Posted February 27, 2022 Putin will blow the place to bits if conventional forces don't move quickly enough. And he will flood Western Europe with millions of refugees. Don't be fooled by Western promises. Kharkiv tonight

baala xoofto Posted February 27, 2022 That looks like Russians using their carpet bombers. It seems they know they are bogged down and the resistance from the Ukrainians is very strong. This, however, will not change the projected defeat.
baala xoofto Posted February 27, 2022 Two weapons are proving very difficult for Russians to advance. 1. The nLAW is a UK made shoulder mounted Fire & Forget anti-tank rocket. 2. The Stinger anti-aircraft missile made in the US.

The same nations who said they will use only sanctions to punish Putin are rushing to send weapons. US, UK, Portugal, Nederlans and even Germany who few weeks ago refused to send any arms to Ukraine are sending anti tank and anti aircraft weapons. He had united his adversaries. NATO unity was in trouble after the Afghanistan sudden withdrawl, and even Macron was mulling of creating a European defence project. If Putin doesn't get a face saving through some third party negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, he will be bogged down. THe west were goading him for weeks to move in Saddam Husein style, and we thought Putin was smart enough to avoid the trap. He got in with the whole world against him. Even if he survives, he will be a weak leader, open for elimination for the second round of the bext crises.
