galbeedi Posted February 22, 2022 The Russian invasion the US officials were kept talking about for the last few weeks had probably begun by recognizing these breakway regions. This is real escalation by Putin. Whether frozen conflict like in Georgia or incorporated means Putin will fight for them. Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar Posted February 22, 2022 I was just telling the other day to this long time colleague - who is of Ukrainian descent - that Putin really wants to take these two regions officially and permanently. I told him Putin is moving all these soldiers near the borders to distract by taking these regions to make the West feel that war has been averted. It exactly happened as I said.
