nazia_20 Posted October 16, 2003 ASALAMU CALEYKUM FELLOW NOMADS. I JUST WANTED TO EXPRESS MY FEELINGS ABOUT GUN CRIMES IN SOCIETY TODAY. i WAS BROWSING THE NET WHEN I CAME ACROSS AN ARTICLE ABOUT GUN SHOTS HEARD IN A SOMALI RAVE IN LONDON. AND I WAS DEEPLY SHOCKED BY THIS AS i HAVE LOST ALOT OF FAMILY MEMBERS IN SOMALIA WHO HAVE BEEN SHOT DOWN. AND NOW SOMALIANS ARE TAKING THEIR GUNS WITH THEM TO THE WESTERN WORLD WHERE WE ALL SEEKED REFUGE. I HAVE A POEM ABOUT IT. Nice warm summer days, filled with laughter and childish ways. Life as we know it is sweet, with the play of children at our feet. As the day goes and night nears, we are forced again to put on our fears. Streets where children once were found, are now but an evening battleground. Into houses stray bullets fly, where families cry and watch loved ones die. As day approaches and night ends, the streets are filled again with one less friend
DeadlyVision Posted October 22, 2003 Guns are personal. No matter where we go, A Somali will find his arsenal. We living on self assasination~ Imagine when guns over populate a Nation! In our minds in our hearts, Ignorance is what we be facing... Death probagation, grew on my deadly vision* From 70s to 90s casualty was all in my reality. 2000 still battle with my peoples minds poverty. Raves and Somali Jams? Eid Mubaarik after the Mosque, most will make Rewaayad demands? Only if they did the same to roit the mans! and his East Africa contrabands~ I Stink~Bomb the party, break up the bands! No piety, no girl I don't think you pretty- I more like see you as your cleavage soo silly... Ama keep my pick up lines, got na'in to say And when bullets spray, I suggest you duck and lay. Somali boys and girls fix ya life how u fix ya curles be safe and pray. Save a prey. You the victem even with your magnet friend stuck to your waste under your jacket- I laugh if you get shot thats no play... And this is what the gun will say! "You where a by stander, and am not the death planer, I just spit lids and known to spray" Now whose fault is it? You where suppost to be in bed, as moms said. But, you messed up lossing control of your hard head! ......Now you shot. ......Heart stoped ......praying for one breath ......pain and blood lose ......Hope you worked for what comes after your death* ~1~ PME Deadly
DeadlyVision Posted October 22, 2003 He was just chubby as a kid- Picked on by who ever he tried to stick with- Learned to manipulate and practiced the trades of the fake. Had his family on blind spot, living with street hate. Gansta! From his dress code to his stylish walk. Tongue twisting with his brandish talk. Drinking $40 liquor, so his mind and liver got thicker. Now he a toughGuy! in mind thinking from the rest he was quicker. Grew as he threw up to be a Thug-Nigger* But it was plain to see, his plane was headed for sea~ Got shooked when he saw friend from around the way...didn't play hot as a shot. They knew his heart wasn't free~ A day passed turned into years, now he on lock shedding tears. Got a quick bail, trying to escape his growing fears. Came out with the same thirsty mouth! still da same. Took 'Pacs advice and drank away the pain. Got in a shoot out as a driver, feeling liver changed his name. Ghost as he be, HE GOT SHOT! 9 times lucky none went to his brain. Lived to speak about it, now his mind is in chain. Walking with out a limp, 50 came out as a pimp. Now he wana be the same as him with a quality to drink. Talking 'bout no-mind is mine, no killin-time is crime. Made another mistake and, HE GOT SHOT! 2 times lucky none passed his ancle line. Still living like this rhyme, I personally cut him from life-time. With family still on his blind side, punk to see a Gansta wanabe! Not learning from ya tragidy is a sad living in this horrifying reality! Its just in the man in me, to say: Somalis And Guns are personal as this Poetry* as this Lyrical Poetry* .... ~1~ PME DeadlyVision
