I guess I thought wrong.

Everything was going good,

Better than I thought it would.

Then you had to come along with your sweet smile,

I never realized how much I missed your style.

You asked me how I was doing and gave me a big hug

I stood there surprised and answered with a shrug.

Life was easier when you said you didn't care,

Now I'm a wreck, life isn't fair.
