The Somali Republic was established immediately after the declaration of the Somalia independence in the midnight of First July, 1960. With the constitution of 1960, Somalia has adopted a form of parliamentary government. The current provisional Constitution, in force in Somalia since 2012, is chiefly modeled on the 1960, one of he best fundamental Charters ever adopted in Africa, making the country a parliamentary Republic as opposed to Presidential Republic.
