With the constitution of 1960, Somalia has adopted a form of parliamentary government. The current provisional Constitution, in force in Somalia since 2012, is chiefly modeled on the 1960, one of he best fundamental Charters ever adopted in Africa, making the country a parliamentary Republic as opposed to Presidential Republic.
