Twisted Posted April 10, 2003 *I would say this one... me and a friend wrote it for fun with the same ending thru out the poem.. ------------------------------------------------- Love No one can describe it lyricly But a feeling not to be taken lightly Incase you dont wanna end up lonely Open your self to love seriously Enough to lay your heart on happily Feel the power of love Phsycally And let it satisfy you mentally A light to guide you gently It comes by to ease you firmly Shelter to save you eternally and stay detained verbally
Haseena Posted April 10, 2003 Jag skrev den aldrig me dig den e din gubben ....such a masterpiece can only be yours I have many favorites but this is one of a kind written by the late John Clare very lovable poem.... First Love I ne'er was struck before that hour With love so sudden and so sweet. Her face it bloomed like a sweet flower And stole my heart away complete. My face turned pale, a deadly pale. My legs refused to walk away, And when she looked what could I ail My life and all seemed turned to clay. And then my blood rushed to my face And took my eyesight quite away. The trees and bushes round the place Seemed midnight at noonday. I could not see a single thing, Words from my eyes did start. They spoke as chords do from the string, And blood burnt round my heart. Are flowers the winter's choice Is love's bed always snow She seemed to hear my silent voice Not love appeals to know. I never saw so sweet a face As that I stood before. My heart has left its dwelling place And can return no more.
Conspiracy Posted April 10, 2003 umh my fav. poem would be from Shakespeare Sonnet 18 "Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?" Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate: Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer's lease hath all too short a date: Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines, And often is his gold complexion dimm'd; And every fair from fair sometime declines, By chance, or nature's changing course, untrimm'd; But thy eternal summer shall not fade, Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest; Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade, When in eternal lines to time thou growest; So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see, So long lives this, and this gives life to thee. William Shakepeare (1564 - 1616)
lol Posted April 14, 2003 Although I have many poems as favorites but this one beats them all..... If thou must love me If thou must love me, let it be for nought Except for love's sake only. Do not say "I love her for her smile... her look... her way Of speaking gently,... for a trick of thought That falls in well with mine, and certes brought A sense of pleasant ease on such a day"- For these things in themselves, Beloved, may Be changed, or change for thee, - and love, so wrought, May be unwrought so. Neither love me for Thine own dear pity's wiping my cheeks dry, A creature might forget to weep who bore Thy comfort long, and lose thy love thereby. But love me for love's sake, that evermore Thou may'st love on, through love's eternity. -Elizabeth Barrett Browning
Guled92 Posted April 15, 2003 One of my fav... My soul drifts aimlessly in times of hopelessness. It searches tirelessly for meaning and truth ... Yet finds no direction. My heart bleeds quietly in times of loneliness. It yearns to find warmth and happiness ... Yet it somehow eludes me. My eyes seek out visions in times of want. They gaze endlessly through the blackness that envelops them ... Yet they cannot see the light. My ears listen earnestly in times of silence. They search for familiar sounds to comfort and console ... Yet they cannot penetrate the darkness that surrounds me. My arms reach out frantically in times of despair. They seek strength and compassion to enfold me ... Yet they find nothing substantial to enwrap. My mind cries out desperately in times of solitude. It poses intense questions that demand answers ... Yet there are none to be found. My hand reaches out earnestly in these times of confusion. It dials the number of a familiar and calming voice ... And gratefully, my lifeline to sanity ... remains intact.
lovely me Posted April 17, 2003 my fav peotry would be ,, Tears of Love Tears of love Trickle down my face, I do not eat enough And it please me not. My beloved Has deserted me. he has deserted me, My darling, comrades! The forest and the savannah, A sob in my throat. I am distraught For I do not see his. I do not see his, I do not know where he is, he gives me sorrow, And regret. I sing with all my voice So that he may know where I am. love that poetry !!!
