Puntland Martial Court Warns Former PSF Commander Against Disobedience

Garowe (PP News Desk) — Puntland State Martial Court yesterday published a brief on the stand-off between Puntland Security Force and Puntland State troops in Bosaaso. The Court cited articles of the State’s and the national military’s penal codes to deter disobedience.

“The Court makes it clear that any disobedience within forces is a punishable crime. The President of Puntland State is the Commander-in-chief and retains the powers to appoint and fire any Commander of forces” reads the brief.

Puntland State Martial Court instructed the new Commander of PSF Brigadier General Amin Abdullahi Haji Kheir to protect vehicles, properties and materiel of the force following the refusal of PSF Commander Brigadier General Mohamud Osman Abdullahi to hand over the responsibility for running PSF to the Commander-designate appointed last week by Puntland State President Said Abdullahi Deni.
