Thinkerman Posted April 2, 2004 "Pit Girls" And Champagne Spraying Banned From This Weekends F1 GP" This weekends F1 GP in Bahrain is to be the first held in the Middle East. The traditional podium celebration of spraying champagne will not be allowed in the Islamic country, and scantily-clad "pit girls" won't be welcome either. Bahrain's deputy speaker Adel al-Moawada, said: "Shaking the champagne and spreading it on people, this is something I don't think people will accept. The organisers know how to run this event without contradicting the culture of the place..." Non-alcoholic drinks for the podium celebrations will be allowed, with organisers coming up with a blend of locally grown fruit with rosewater. In the late 1970s and early 1980s Williams were sponsored by Saudia Airlines and used orange juice.

Thierry. Posted April 2, 2004 I think F1 has been predictable for the last couple of years with shuey winning again and again. this year i still think he will win, but hey the ranks are changing ralf, montoya, kimmie and maybe button i see these youngsters as the future of the sport, Raikonen my favourite to be next schu
QUANTUM LEAP Posted April 4, 2004 Shuey does it again....Looks like there wont be much excitement this year as its already predictable....Im however, impressed by the Button and Kling. I believe if these two happen to get the right engines, team and awell set car, then we have some great races to look forward to.
