Starlight Posted April 22, 2002 Looking for the Man of my dreams... Could that be you? Are you the one to restore my spirit, to the happiness it once knew? Do you possess the qualities... I yearn for and dream of? Are you rightfully deserving of being called, the greatest gift given to me from up above? Is you that I daydream of... At night, when I dream, is it you that I see? Or does this not end with you, and search continues, until I find the one for me? ------------------ The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. Hibo Posted April 28, 2002 Somalia I had a dream of you last night Oh my Somalia! Shame my blissful scene didn't last Amazing how you gazed and then wept The sun up above and shining on you The moon with teary eye smilled at you Together promised to shine on you The air of hope blew across your face! The stars did shoot at will with joy One little star came aforth and whispered "I'll twinkle if you're lost in darkness" To all my amazment and more excitment! Standing before you was a man so old I am here my blood and flesh, he said You know me not but i know the truth Tear you shed prevented worse to come And Mirror of your image talks of peace My name is Pride, he said and flew away I then jumped awake from the sleep i was happy but then so confused Aside my bed stood an angel all white Everything i saw was bright and light She put me back to sweetest of sleep and another episode of beautiful dream In my dream was a woman so peaceful wipping the doubts off my heart Soothing all the anxieties i had Erasing stress my depressed mind She utterd, why did you kill me, why do the somali so much hate me I fed you from my rich breast, i was your independence and hope She then disapeared into the thin air I thought this shadow of dream is over But I could hear the drums from far, the loud whistles and the whoops Marching near and getting louder, lined up in rows, wearing our flag we're so willing to forgive, they cried We died for all of you to live in peace, Now must we rise from the graves again once more be there to guide you again? No! No i said again with voice of regret Oh! ancestors, we know not which way to go But soon the sun will rise again, for us to see The rivers will flow again, to clean the stain The children will become chidlren again and our women will begot the bravest of men Soon the green will grow and birds will sing Soon the cloud will clear, the need will arise To stop the baby killing and the rapine To stop the moran and the warlords But when? they murmured, but when? Soon my ancestors i feel it, i cried soon prosperity and sweet peace will be Soon these ugly sloughter will sieze, soon the best of our minds will awake Soon this nightmare will be over forever

Hibo Posted April 30, 2002 How i jilted comfort milked time to gain the precious dollar i send every weekend How often i swerved crevened by life In fear my broken heart would never mend Thats why i was confussed and so in pain Thats why i masked emotions unshaken in purpose but now I can feel the breeze ahead of pleasure Tainting my dreams with scents of a rose Eased is my spore that needn't to sweat Time has changed my bitter sweat to sweet
Starlight Posted May 2, 2002 The Friend Zone I love you like a friend and think of you like a lover and I want you to stay one way but envision you as the other and I am torn between abandoning the fragile covering that wraps me around so that in my words and gestures only "friend" messages are seen and no trace of lust are found ------------------ The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. Hibo Posted May 6, 2002 If temptation was to rule my desire! Who will rule my mind to concious dicission? If tommorow's fate comes to me as a dream Will the mystery hold it is place? If the sun stops to shine on me Will you grant your light to me? If love takes back all its affection Will you be strong and love me anyway? Answer me my lady! Hibo Posted May 14, 2002 Pigeon's fate Some are poor in cash Some are stronger in faith they chose a simple life, and honesty to themselves Most talented they are, but still kept a silence They Feed from the places The place our feet tumbles Take them as an example That Allaah will provide For us all who believe Without no worries live Sweep all stress aside By God's words do abide Life leaves us in pain, hurt So let us once think straight Erase all the broken moments From the hearts and books Let us let the world to be The world be a place to be If some wonna be powerful Could it becouse of fear? If some chose to stand tall Could they be without no fear? If some play the old game it is becouse of no confidence?
Hibo Posted May 16, 2002 When emotions run high I wish i could easily die Allow my soul to freely fly Above the huddle cloud and sky Find its way in heaven's gate With this my eyes cry so dry Worded tear is what i cry
MaandeeQ Posted May 29, 2002 Asalaamu Caleykum Wr Wb am I enjoying myself or what? Maasha'allah all of u r amazing, May Allah Bless U. Jamal-11, I don't know how to write a poem unfortunately, but I sure know how to value n appreciate when I c 1. U sure r inspiring 4 all of US n glad to have u as a BRO not to mention MODERATOR.....lOOl Plz know that I'm simply proud of U. SilentGuy, Thank U so much 4 the poem u wrote 4 ur Nomad Queens. It was very sweet of U, N I think I can speak 4 them n say that the feelings r mutual. Keep up walaalo. U all know that love has different forms n shapes, said that, here s a poem that a friend of mine's father wrote 4 her the day that she was about to get married. I blv the experience speaks 4 itself. Here it comes. For years I waited, for you to be born, Was it to be - a daughter or son? Life seemed so dull and so forlorn, My passion for living almost gone. Then you came bringing joy to my life, Until that day - you became a wife, The saddest day, yet the most joyful, You looked so charming, so beautiful. As I walked you down the aisle, I hid my tears with a smile, It hurt so much losing you, Mum and I was, so proud too. When born, you stole your mother's heart, Second place for me - right from the start, As you grew older, you played your part, Nothing would make us ever fall apart. I used to worry, when you were in school, Will you ever break - the golden rule, When you marry, will your husband be a churl, It was so painful, being the father of a young girl. But you were always so loving and giving, Hearts, so capable of always winning, Truthful and ever so wise, Ever ready to compromise. Thank you daughter, for being so nice, Adding to our lives the sugar and spice, Thousands of miles though we are apart, You will always be there in my heart by Mohamed A
