Hibo Posted January 22, 2002 Hi there, LadyFatima, Lol, for sure it will be an honour to invite you if there is a wedding Silent_Guy, Bro i will post that poem to the Somaliaonline.com soon insha-allaah. If possible i would tranfer all the poems posted from somalinet to somaliaonline.com, coz i can't access somalinet forums from my IP address. Bother, i am not Ukma9 but we know each other and leave in the same. We are two different individuals.
Baydan Posted January 22, 2002 Woow you guys! Jamaal-11 and Idil good collections...I dont dig poems that much although once in while i find one or two that captures my heart. Enjoy this one it is a fav of mine. I love you not only for what u are But for what I am when i'm with you I love you not only for what you have made of yourself but you are making of me I love you for puttin you hand into my heaped up heart and passing over all the foolish weak things you cant help dimly seeing there, and drawing out in the light all the beautiful belongings that no one else had looked quite far enaugh to find. I love you because you are helping me to make of the lumber of my life not a tavern but a temple, out of the work of my every day life not a reproach but a song I love you because you have done more than any creed could have done to make me good and more happy than any fate could have done to make me happy You have done it without a touch, without a word, without a sigh; You have done it by being yourself. Perhaps that is what being a freind means, after all. UNKNOWN.

Hibo Posted January 23, 2002 ASalaamu Alaikum lol Lady F, don't worry girl, ama make u maid of honour...that is if u can wait for lets say another 15 or so yrs lol...i've been told that ama marry when i'm in my late or mid 30's ( i guess i'm still mummy's lil girl...althugh my sister is gettin married and she is only 20) My mother...words can not express what I feel for her...she's been through so much for me, wallahi when I think about doing somethin i think to myself...how will hooyo feel...if its good, then i go ahead with it...if its bad then lol i resist the temptation alhumdullilah Jamaal don't worry, my mother is the greatest Queen I've ever met... Most honored guest within this heart of mine Your shadow cast reflections of like kind An entrance to this cherished part of me Would beckon one who searched, yet did not see Fruitless pain and sorrow leave Inside these vessel walls that bleed New life exchanged between two souls As diamonds strewn from darkened coals Breathe life so deeply from each beat Take all you need to feel complete In leaving, should you lose our way Another beat would draw you, stay Go forward to another page As lines recited on a stage Another chapter turned and read Sustaining words to now be said Hold not your true identity Tell of your love and solemnly To make a vow and keep it pure Gives hearts a reason to endure lol Najmah...i loved the second line Thx Silent guy and Baydan
Hibo Posted January 24, 2002 Thank you IDIL, you assured me of what to expect. Fruitless pain and sorrow leave Inside these vessel walls that bleed New life exchanged between two souls As diamonds strewn from darkened coals This section of the poem moved me IDIL, "Inside these vessel walls that bleed, New life exchanged between two souls, As diamond strewn from darkened coals" Do u mean this with what i think u mean? Hibo Posted January 24, 2002 Hey Jamaal & Idil.. I see poetry folks down here as well... its cool.. if u haven't yet figured this is Hibo_The_Original... so here I will add one of favorite poems... enjoy it: These callused hands have a history.. You look at my picture on your computer screen.. And you say how beautiful... How sweet... I tell you my friend. These callused hands have a history... You see, The picture doesnt show the pain my soul has lived. My eyes have grown accustomed, To living in this surrounding darkness. You just see my face...a beautified mask.. You dont see the sweat, That pours down my pores each day... As I struggle to live each day... You dont see the scabs on my rough small hands... From the endless miles I travel.... Dont see the feet... That I thank God have had no feeling since they were created. You dont see that. You dont see the small body, That everyone deems as fragile. When the only thing fragile..is my heart. You dont see the pride that has been torn only to be rebuilt.. With walls around it. You dont see the heart that has been broken too many times... By the people that should of always been there. You dont see the heart I almost threw away... With a bottle of pills... You dont see that. You dont see the hands... That tell of my being beaten... Abused... Neglected... And torn. Homeless... Starving... For love, attention, and a little more...I just dont know what. You dont see the girl... Who refused to believe she was worth loving... Even by the one who created her in His image... The Girl who thought she was God's first mistake.... You dont see that. You dont see the girl who has never known what real love is like Because everytime she relearned to trust... She was rejected again. You dont see the girl who was taunted.. By her peers, her church....the people she called family... The girl who was told she would be nothing by those she trusted.. The girl who stood alone in that graduation hall... Because those she had built up the nerve to invite Despite her damn pride, decided it was not important, That they show up. The girl who graduated. Though many thought she would not.. So my friend, Next time you see my picture, Next time you see my face... Look deeper... Remember these callused hands tell a story... And this wounded soul has a name... Hibo Posted January 24, 2002 This poem is dedicated to all....that r new in the world of love.. when we enter the door to this mysterious world.. all we see is the lavishing sites of beauty, happiness that seems to last forever... through my experience I share with u ... a side not many folks.. were unfortunate enough to experience it.. so new lovers or those that r eager towards love... do dig deeper than that mere fairlytales hollywood portrays...Here is a prayer for u all.... Have you ever had a broken heart that was impossible to repair? Have you ever met that someone who didn't seem to care? Have you ever cried so many tears that you thought you'd cry forever? Have you ever been dumped by someone after spending such a long time together? Have you ever been hurt so bad you almost couldn't feel the pain? Have you ever went after someone only to be left out in the rain? Have you ever wanted someone you thought you'd never hold? Have you ever warmed that person's heart to see it all turn cold? Have you ever fell hard for someone then have them push you away? Have you ever been left by someone after asking them to please stay? Have you ever been so depressed that you wanted to lay down and die? Have you ever forced yourself to smile when all you could do was cry? Have you ever felt so alone like you had no one to turn to? Have you ever felt so unloved like no one needed you? Have you ever gave your heart to someone who wouldn't give theirs in return? Have you ever been treated so badly that you could feel your whole heart burn? I hope someday you'll meet someone who will never make you cry I hope they'll love you forever and never say goodbye Because I know how much it hurts to have a broken heart I know how painful it is to have it ripped apart I believe there's someone out there who will make you happy, my friend Then you'll never have to worry about having your heart broken...... She raised me and my 7 other brothers and sister when our father died in 1984, i was a kid by then but she made sure i get everything a child should have had. I love her for her strength and courage, her cleverness in business (especially - how she master the oral maths) and her business skills, she made my family rich lol. bye all and thank you. Hibo Posted January 25, 2002 Idil, I am honoured to be your heart's guest A guest who's safety is assured let loose to wander and enjoy Within a compound of all treasures Trusted favoured to have the key to the golden gate where love is born The lonely heart now hiccups with joy Remedy was found that heals the wounds and lightening bright that dispell the gloom Sorrow and pain have flown far away
