Hibo Posted January 17, 2002 One of the Great poets of the Land of poets was a man known as the father of Somali poetry. He is revered as a poet and respected as a brave warrior. ...................................... RAGE UGAAS ...................................... Once i wore a fine cloat And carried a shield of rhynoceros hide I was looked upon with admiration As one of the best of human kid Is this not so? Then my spine grew older short And my back grew bent And did it not came to pass That i had to stop and rest a night On a journey so short that shouting voices Could have spanned the distance On the roads that are trodden with families on the move I am passed my everyone along the way My weapons are all surrendered now And my hand grasps nothing but a stick The men beggoten by men whom i myself begot With-held the support that is my due The women whom i married now wish me dead "Give me food" i shout do i not? weeping like a child The shameful things against which i use to guard myself Have now descended on me as clear as the light of day Is this not so?? ....................................... Hibo Posted January 18, 2002 My princess Such a Sweet morning sleep but I'm dreaming deep, The cold morning dew is like the mattress' soft, suddenly I hear a sweet wisper, a shallow breath Pretty face's eyes half closed cutely angled Sensual she, so calm her ways so tender her touch. Her beauty naturally glows like a bright tavern, I kissed a cheek, soft and smelling of a perfume. Oh it is like an angel with a golden heart, She does What lovers do, or content in dreams She Rests on my chest to be secure and satisfied, With her fine looking figure curved to my desire. Round thighs, flowing hair and maturely loving eye Such baby skinned girl, is comfort to a kind soul Like the air we breath, she naurishes the soul Elegance is her look and boneless when she dances I love her easy ways and her perfume spray She Wears ud the midnights and Attar afterwards her Silk hair scented with rehan, dancing sideways

Hibo Posted January 18, 2002 My country men! My poets Those words you have cried Had made my mind sway near break! But those dreams i have had Show me a better place of Peace and fresh milk So keep your pen wet And your hopes ever high We shall pull through this For kings seek the force of swords Poets shall seek the force of words And standwith the might and strength Our homes may be burnt Our people may be destitute Our future may be unclear Our land may be up for sale Who we're shall never change Shame waits to take its shape Hell has already broken lose, and I am tired of cries of grieve Tired of fleeing and driftings, Though I see better things coming

Hibo Posted January 20, 2002 Salaams lol unix I guess some people don't like poetry huh? Oh well... Jamaal, as usual aboowe, great poems lol as I told you last time, I'm still obessed with the concept of beauty, so here is one of my latest poems on beauty BEAUTY You may think beauty can be seen. It can be seen, and it can make you feel like it is taking you to a wonderful, distant place. But how wonderful does that place prove to be? And just how far away is it? By looks you can only find beauty that is pleasing to the eyes though. What good is physical beauty if there is nothing underneath to back it up? If this was all that beauty was then paying the high price for beauty would be vanity. It is much better to find inner beauty which pleases the heart, then trying to just please your eyes. A beautiful appearance is just a shell. Can it be easily cracked because it is just a frail outer layer? No, let its roots run deeper than that and support the beauty I can see. You can spend your time striving find one that is beautiful. You can use your effort and find beauty but if it proves to be only on the surface then you have used your time and effort all in vain. But no, there is more to beauty. It can be found by prying those shells open and peering inside. That beauty that you find can give you happiness even if happiness you have never known. It can help you to look at yourself and find how far your beauty goes. It can help you to find new leaves to turn over and finally let your true self come bursting forth. Much, much more can be found than that vain beauty but only in a special one. Beauty, what a lovly word. But who is one that can be called beautiful? A person who can take your mind and run with it to a distant, blissful place. One who can take your cloudy days and turn them into wonderful skies of blue
Hibo Posted January 21, 2002 Welcome sister IDIL, it is an honour welcoming you to this site, a pleasant one. I hope you enjoy your stay as i did. Thank you Idil, that poem was nice. Beauty? so do i, lol but i tend to wander off to another section of life. Experiance over-rules the beautiful words i stitched up to express beauty. I hope it is worth it. Girl, no other person writes more precise about beauty than you, well done. You gave me a hint of what your poems mean the last time we talked and i liked what i heard, so insh-allaah we will pump into eah other. bye bye [This message has been edited by JamaaL-11 (edited 01-21-2002).]
Hibo Posted January 21, 2002 My soul has gone slow now and as calm as still waters my heart burns no more as if I’m sprinkled wet with a heavenly love Never would I forget To feel and to know How loving a heart can be and how sweet it is to love Your words are like songs so sacred like the psalms You touched my heart softly Like no other human did You are a beautiful dream that never becomes true Though I want to be near you than the skin that you wear and your sensitive nerves I wish I could touch you with love so deep and real embrace your figure with joy and bursting sweet emotions kiss your lips so intimate between your chin and chest Can I meet you just I feel? Or would I see you just to touch? I'm anxious with imagination Passionate with expectations Coz this screen and the net Connected firmly our souls But keeps lovers far away away from each other's embrace With all I’ve got inside Can I say I love you dear? Would you read all my poems? Read them with your pretty eyes? Can I trust you? With this fragile heart of mine?
Hibo Posted January 21, 2002 Asalaamu Alaikum lol Jamaal...a couple of months ago a couple of my friends and I were discussing "beauty" and what true beauty is...until now we still haven't come to the same conclusions lol...a lot of people are taken in my first appearances...and they do make impressions...last year this guy tried to ask me out...lol it was the funniest thing ever...he actually said to me.."it isn't that I find u attractive, actually i don't, u just have an amazing personallity" lol that made me laugh wallahi... personally I don't believe that anything is ugly...after all nothing Allah (swt) created can be described as ugly can it? Physically, everyone is beautiful...but when we look at the inner person is where the term ugly can be used...you can find the most beautiful person in the world (your dream guy/girl physically) but then...that is as far as it goes...I've even asked my friends if they would prefer a beautiful girl who was cold, calculating and selfish...or would they prefer an average girl who wasn't what they would define as "beautiful" but was the most amazing person ever inside...lol most of them said they'd take the girl that was pleasing to the eye...it would be pointless to date a girl whose face u couldn't stand... Anywayz...here is reply to ur poem Jamaal...or u aboowe...enjoy I'm logging on I hold my breath to see if you are there... to see if you have left for me a treasure anywhere... An e-mail, or a poem or a paragraph of love my lover on the Internet sent to me from above. My monitor, a window to the world in which you live my heart an open vessel that is full & wants to give... To you, my love, true happiness, a feeling so complete I've needed you, you've needed me however did we meet ??? I place my hand upon the screen and wish that I could feel your lips, your breath, your soft caress I know that you are real. I try to fight this feeling that you are just fantasy I've never had someone like you please give your "words" to me. Romantic verse with meter, rhyme, make love to me with prose... lull me into lover's sleep Will I awake ? Who knows.... Please feel me reaching out to you my hand upon the screen I long to touch you hold you close and "feel" you in my dream. I think of you as someone who completes me through & through... from this day forth, with Cyber-love I give not only words to you, I give you my heart... Ma'Salaama
Hibo Posted January 22, 2002 Idil, I think my version of what beauty is, is similar to yours. Beauty from the inside is the best one someone can ever have, believe me i have seen many people being called beautiful but they are a draught foiled with a golden sheet. Beauty is nothing when it is not skin deep. Like a car with no wheels it wouldn't be apropriate to describe someone "beautiful" unless they're not beautifull from the inside. PS: Idil, thank you for the moving poem sister. Stay safe [This message has been edited by JamaaL-11 (edited 01-22-2002).]
