Sharmarkee Posted November 13, 2007 Dubai: Istithmar World Aviation (IWA) Holdings, a Dubai World company, on Tuesday said it is joining with founders of Daallo Airlines and the Government of Djibouti to create a new holding company which will acquire all the shares of Daallo Airlines. The deal will see the New Daallo re-branded and named as the exclusive National Flag Carrier of Djibouti, enjoying all routes and traffic rights held by Djibouti. IWA Holdings is an Istithmar World company formed by the consolidation and enlargement of Dubai World's aviation investments. Source

N.O.R.F Posted November 13, 2007 But why sell 100% of your company??? DP World realise the potential of East Africa becoming THE strategic ports they should be and have moved to pre-empt the effect this may have. As long as flights continue to Burco ey?,,,

N.O.R.F Posted November 13, 2007 ^^I'm just wondering if our discounts will continue Seriously though, a business should not be fully sold unless you wish to retire etc
Ms DD Posted November 13, 2007 Is it Djabuutiyaan who bought Dallo or Dubai consortuim?
Sharmarkee Posted November 13, 2007 ^^I think it will use Djabouti's air rights, Duabi's money and faciliations and Daallo's customers and routes,a conslidation of many things. like a phoneix something comning out from Somali's ashes. keep in mind the horn is not potential in business only but their little money circulates in Duabi too. Duabi is the hub, meeting and market place for devastated somalia business people, and Djabouti is milking for their own ends, biting their part of the distrubed cake. nuune Posted November 13, 2007 I think the Daallo guys are a bit tired, they have been in business since 1991 when they started with a 4 seater aircraft. There is a competetion as well on the market, nowadays any business minded individuals can set up an aviation company.
