Aaliyyah Posted March 7, 2008 Lets agree with you for the sake of it and say the nail is 10 cents......then how much is the hammer??? since the whole price is $ 1.10...that makes the hamer worth $ 1.00. Therefore the hammer is only 90 cents more than the nail...the question specifically asks the hammer to be a dollar more....so in that case the nail has to 0.05 cents and the means the hammer is 1.05 which makes it one dollar more than the nail price.
