Sherban Shabeel Posted February 24, 2010 Not a day passes by without us arguing over some silly thing on SOL. What happened to all the music/book/movie threads?
Naden Posted February 24, 2010 ^ Speaking of movies, have you seen the Book of Eli? I'm looking for an excuse to see it. **a wave and a smooch right back at Johnny B** Khayr, being part of a 'polygamous family' has all the appeal of travelling with Jim Jones to Guyana and asking for a cold cup of juice. Rephrase your tired appeal and maybe you will have better luck.

Wareer Badanaa!!! I agree with you,too much viewing of such things can make you see things differently e.g twist your mind lol Why do we think a single 30 plus lady is miserable, lol,a strong indepedent woman embraces spinsterhood and considers a blessing to be free from the evil of men.why do you have to sacrifice your free life only to be bossed around of a male? Ibtisam Posted February 25, 2010 Naden don't see it, It is a boring/silly story line, think or Prophet Muse in the Quran/Bible acted out by Washington, mix it with Bullet proof monk and you have the Book of Eli.

And realistically, women already get old at age of 45 to 47 on average. But men are still potent and can deliver with power until up to 65 to 70 years. So with the woman already exhaused at age of 47 and also fed up her husband's nightly and constant demands, she has no choice but to let him get a second one if she is to be intelligent and a good muslim too. This is good for the family in islamic way as the husband can stay away from the black market for a good reason.

Khayr Posted February 25, 2010 who chooses either path as its a personal preference This idea that that personal preferences, choices that we make, don't have an impact on others - ludacrious! It is a Bubble thought and it has been engrained in the masses. I'm tired of seeing 30+yr old xalimoos and ladies in general crying about not having a family and not being able to conceive children. It was there Personal Preferences that put them in those predicaments. So when reality hits them, they try to make up for lost time. The trend now is to go outside of the community, mess around with johnny and marcus from work or the professor next door and get married to them. Oh did i forget, johnny and marcus "miracously' always convert - in time for the wedding (when you are 35yrs old). You have not old assimilated idealogically into the western customs and norms but also physically. I see kids now saying that there granddad was a muslim or their granddad was a somali.
