I support your point here, general. And realistically, women already get old at age of 45 to 47 on average. But men are still potent and can deliver with power until up to 65 to 70 years. So with the woman already exhaused at age of 47 and also fed up her husband's nightly and constant demands, she has no choice but to let him get a second one if she is to be intelligent and a good muslim too. This is good for the family in islamic way as the husband can stay away from the black market for a good reason.

Khayr, the point is, they are both not favourable or any woman's first choice. Ilaahay saa nama yeelo but I dont look down on someone who chooses either path as its a personal preference (something I sense you'll never understand, esp if one were to choose the former over the latter, granted they were the only two options on the table).

It is far less depressing to die alone of old age than to spend a minute with the likes of Khayr, Sikaawe or Tuujiye.

This idea that that personal preferences, choices that we make, don't have an impact on others - ludacrious! It is a Bubble thought and it has been engrained in the masses.

 

I'm tired of seeing 30+yr old xalimoos and ladies in general crying about not having a family and not being able to conceive children. It was there Personal Preferences that put them in those predicaments. So when reality hits them, they try to make up for lost time.

 

The trend now is to go outside of the community, mess around with johnny and marcus from work or the professor next door and get married to them. Oh did i forget, johnny and marcus "miracously' always convert - in time for the wedding (when you are 35yrs old).

 

You have not old assimilated idealogically into the western customs and norms but also physically.

 

I see kids now saying that there granddad was a muslim or their granddad was a somali.
