Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar Posted August 10, 2006 Gurigeena maqaayada Baar Raaxo dhowr tilaabo ee isku jireen, oo iska soo horjeedeen. Inkastoo sawirkaan aan keeni karin meeshee tahay, saas ayee u ekeyd markaan tagaaye, though I never dared to venture that far, oo ciyaal xaafadii hore kuwa ahaa ayaan kaamirad u dhiibay inay sawiro kasoo qaadaan, they themselves kaamirada ii soo celiye, refusing to go that far either. Mar walba waxaa igu soo dhacdo ereyadii qiirada lahaa ee Maki Xaaji Banaadir: Xamar waala xumeeye yaa xaal marinaayo. Xamareey. Baar Raaxo. Oh my... Both directions of these pictures' jid used to be the SoHo of Muqdisho, where high-end stores, hotels, cinemas, theatres, national statues and foreign embassies were located at. Particularly on the right side of the first picture, expensive tree-lined shops ayaa saf iskugu xigay. I can still picture see ahayd. Yaraanteey shaneemadii la ii wadi jiray. Hoteel Wehliye....ooh, Lord. It still has its A/Cs. Taloow ninkii lahaa ee Wehliye intuu ku dambeeye. Dabka, the heart of Muqdisho intersections.
