Salma Posted September 29, 2004 Velcome Velcome ya werayat, nawar al mukan OG is busy ya Intizar, she is running after the Professors and Docs in the Univ. I would like to gain some ajer this Sha3ban . So, I will volunteer and teach you the lesson without charges (Moi the Generous and the Great!!) 1- Number 2 is for Hamza : For example, lets say you wanna say the word: Su2aal which means Question in Somali we say: Su'aal, this apostrophe in the world Su'aal can be replaced by number 2. 2- Number 3 is for the letter Ceen : like in the name Abdulla or Eisa, how do you pronounce the first letter in these names: Abdulla/Eisa? Or the somali word Canjeelo is 3anjeeelo, the Letter C in the somali equals No.3) 3- Number 6 is for the letter: T like Fa6ema (Fatema). But not every 6 is T, you cannot apply the 6 in the name Iftin, Tahani or Tatiana. 4- Number '6 (6 with apostrophe) is for the letter :TH like '6ohor (Thohor in Somali we say Dohor: Noon-time) 5- Number 5 is for KH like the name 5adra (Khadra) or the word Danger (5a6ar) in SOmali we say (khatar) 6- Number 9 is for the letter: Saad like 9uda3 (Headache) or 9aber (Patience) 7- Number '9(nine with apostrophe)is for the letter: Thaad Dh like the word Dh Dhamiir which means conciousness. Or Rama'6an (Ramadan). Actually, I don't have better example, coz we don't have the letter Thaad in Somali. 8- Number 7 equals: Xaa in the Somali, like 7ayat (Xayaad) or 7assan (Xasan) or 7anuun (Xanuun=Pain) Yalla all da best, study well coz u have an exam next week Peace
