winnie Posted January 8, 2009 i didnt say it was bidah. i asked how reading the quran would be of benefit to our brothers and sisters in gaza. i gave a possible answer, (which as far as i know is sound), but was hoping for an answer that would clarify any possible incorrect conclusions. receiving no answer, i pre-emptively dropped the unwanted conclusion, (the conclusion i didnt want, but did not make yet) that being bidah... if it is not from the tradition of the prophet than we should steer clear from it, and choose from the many options available to us from our beloved muhammad (peace be upon him)'s sunnah. i am not a scholar. akhi kheyr, honestly this wasnt meant as an attack, nor did i mean to belittle this initiative but i just want to know if this is in the tradition of our beloved prophet (peace be upon him). that is all.
