Peacenow Posted October 20, 2009 It seems like Khartoum is really turning itself around. This new hotel opened called the Burj Al-Fateh. http://www.burjalfateh.com/baf/home.aspx
Gheelle.T Posted October 20, 2009 Is this the same one built by Qadafi? Either way,if they manage their oil money well, it can build that country in no time. Invest where it's needed. And Obama's administration is willing to sit with Sudanese Government at last, hope something good would come out, should both parties compromise. ANTARA Posted October 20, 2009 No insult intended but you are very uncultured my brother, you need to travel man. The Sudanis (northerns) you are talking about are extremely proud of their arabic heritage. Besides you must have thrown away your geography book with the benefit's one, there are more arabs in africa then there are in Asia.

Cowke Posted October 21, 2009 Sudan immense growth is due to the oil they started producing 23 year war with the south sudanese christian/animist population. I have the same vision for puntland also because experts say puntland oil capacity is even more then sudan considering the off-shore oil in puntland is said to be in billions of barrells stage. Anyhow sudan envisions a future modern country and the construction is occuring. Sudan is one of the fastest growing economies in Africa and this is researched fact. You can read about This is what khartoum will look like. This is the 4 billion dollar investment done by Al-Mogran to modernize and urbanize sudan real-estate. Truly remremarkable. Sudanese vision of their state, discussing, dialoguing, planning in a peaceful manner. Currently khartoum today as you can see the work being undertaken. Ps: while somalis are boasting about schools or hospitals being opened, african nations such as angola, sudan, rwanda are creating states that can compete with the 1st world nations in 100 years time. In the 22nd century it is predicted African nations will be a super-power by panels of experts on power-shifts. This century will be india and china, next century africa. Another area alot of people don't know is that sudan makes it's own weapons. They manufacture their own tanks, guns, uniforms, ammunition, and various other military tools. Infact they are the only nation in Africa to do so. You can read about the sudanese military coporation and what it produces here. Sudan Military Corp Good on sudan for getting out of the war and working together to make their nation a functioning and modernizing their state. They are usually very nice people to. I know alot of them here where i am living.
