SayidSomal Posted November 10, 2008 no amount back tracking is gonna help you are from sxb. just admitted. to everyone: i hope you get educated via this post. don't rely to much on the web alone - ask your granfathers/mothers/grand uncles/aunts - respected elders etc if they are still alive - however please do remember to sift through what ever they say to you (especially if they are from there) - as they saying goes: for every claim/joke there is grain weight of thruth in it. your aim should be to get to that grain weight of thruth. Good luck - post here what they tell you about these places

SayidSomal Posted November 10, 2008 i see some learning going on - that is good start - haye - what else have you lot learned about these two great cities ???
Sophist Posted November 10, 2008 Taleh is the frist Capital City of Somalia. It is where the idea of Somali nation was first cooked by the Dervishes. It is also the FIRST AFRICAN TOWN TO be bombed by a clonial power. It was the first town to be honoured by the Somali government and named a largish xaafad in Mogadishu to be in her honour So, it has three firsts; I will leave MsDD to present Qardho's case. -Lily- Posted November 10, 2008 No disrespect intended but I've never heard of either. Mogadishu with all its lovely ports will do just fine for me.
SayidSomal Posted November 10, 2008 but what do they have in common - apparantly there is one thing more than any other that they have in common.

xiinfaniin Posted November 10, 2008 Taleex was a historic settlement. It was the seat of Sayid Mohamed’s darwish movement. Qardho on the other hand is no such thing; it just happens to be located between Bosaso and Garoowe! With all due respect to brother Sayid, meesha laamiga mara! It’s good Somali magaalo though---it just pales in comparison with Taleex!
SayidSomal Posted November 10, 2008 Xiinfaniin - sow adiga ma ahayn - kii gabadhii reer boqor lagu bedashay - ma tasa'aad ka xumatay oo wali qardho ugu nacday???
