Malika Posted June 4, 2008 Why do you think we should appreciate being women? What is good about being women? Maybe even: What advantages do we have over men, if any? I'll kick start;for me being a woman means strenght, indurance and ofcourse the experience of a human growing within..ah,those kicks! .The once a month right to be a b-itch.. Baluug Posted June 5, 2008 You guys get a free week off every month from prayer, and if that time of the month happens in Ramadan, you also get a free week from fasting, but obviously you have to make that up later. Women have a lot of advantages over men, but they always think about the negatives, like how they only get one husband while the men could get 4, but really no one does that these days anyways except Saudis. You guys are telling me to look at the positives in my life rather than the negatives, yet you're not doing the same.

cynical lady Posted June 5, 2008 We got off the Titanic first. We can scare male bosses with mysterious gynaecological disorder excuses. (Never had one, had lots of the other.) We can cry & get off speeding fines. Taxis stop for us. Free drinks. Free dinners. Free movies. (you get the point) No fashion faux pas we make could ever rival the Speedo. We never have to reach down every so often to make sure our privates are there. We have the ability to dress ourselves. There are times when chocolate really can solve all your problems. We can fully assess a person just by looking at their shoes. We'll never discover we've been duped by a Wonderbra.

Nephissa Posted June 6, 2008 Being a woman is no joke. It has to be the hardest thing to be on this earth. Many things make me think/wish over I was a man but too many logics to shrug the thought away and make me think I was meant to be a woman. Being a is not a trip to the park with your kids, Malika.. timahaa is guri.. . "Get up now Get up now Get up out of bed Wash your face Brush your teeth Comb your sleepyhead Here's your clothes and your shoes Hear the words I said Get up now! Get up and make your bed Are you hot? Are you cold? Are you wearing that? Where's your books and your lunch and your homework at? Grab your coat and gloves and your scarf and hat Don't forget! You gotta feed the cat Eat your breakfast, the experts tell us it's the most important meal of all Take your vitamins so you will grow up one day to be big and tall Please remember the orthodontist will be seeing you at 3 today Don't forget your piano lesson is this afternoon so you must play Don't shovel Chew slowly But hurry The bus is here Be careful Come back here Did you wash behind your ears? Play outside, don't play rough, will you just play fair? Be polite, make a friend, don't forget to share Work it out, wait your turn, never take a dare Get along! Don't make me come down there Clean your room, fold your clothes, put your stuff away Make your bed, do it now, do we have all day? Were you born in a barn? Would you like some hay? Can you even hear a word I say? Answer the phone! Get off the phone! Don't sit so close, turn it down, no texting at the table No more computer time tonight! Your iPod's my iPod if you don't listen up Where are you going and with whom and what time do you think you're coming home? Saying thank you, please, excuse me makes you welcome everywhere you roam You'll appreciate my wisdom someday when you're older and you're grown Can't wait till you have a couple little children of your own You'll thank me for the counsel I gave you so willingly But right now I thank you not to roll your eyes at me [L0L] Close your mouth when you chew, would appreciate Take a bite maybe two of the stuff you hate Use your fork, do not burp or I'll set you straight Eat the food I put upon your plate Get an A, get the door, don't get smart with me Get a grip, get in here, I'll count to three Get a job, get a life, get a PHD Get a dose of, "I don't care who started it! You're grounded until you're 36" Get your story straight and tell the truth for once, for heaven's sake And if all your friends jumped off a cliff would you jump, too? If I've said it once, I've said at least a thousand times before That you're too old to act this way It must be your father's DNA Look at me when I am talking Stand up straighter when you walk A place for everything and everything must be in place Stop crying or I'll give you something real to cry about Oh! Brush your teeth, wash your face, put your PJs on Get in bed, get up here, say a prayer with mom Don't forget, I love you And tomorrow we will do this all again because a mom's work never ends You don't need the reason why Because, because, because, because I said so, I said so, I said so, I said so I'm the mom, the mom, the mom, the mom, the mom!!" Malika Posted June 6, 2008 LOL..Nephthys,I actually cant picture my life without my daughter,so am so enjoying being the Dictator! I could add to that list, creating fear of God.Oh boy,do I lay the guilt trip on the poor child. I dont know if being raise by strong independent women had influence the thinking within that there is nothing that is too hard about being a woman.I learned from an early age,one can be whatever one wants to be,lead whatever life one wants to lead.So sometimes,I become intolerant of friends whom have a different view of themselves as women and how they limit themselves. The sky is the limit for many of us,whom have opportunities to lead fulfilling lives. So hold your head up WOMEN! and walk like you own this darn earth..Heh I like the way Maya Angelou describes herself in one of her poems; Phenomenal Woman Pretty women wonder where my secret lies. I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size But when I start to tell them, They think I'm telling lies. I say, It's in the reach of my arms The span of my hips, The stride of my step, The curl of my lips. I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me. I walk into a room Just as cool as you please, And to a man, The fellows stand or Fall down on their knees. Then they swarm around me, A hive of honey bees. I say, It's the fire in my eyes, And the flash of my teeth, The swing in my waist, And the joy in my feet. I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me. Men themselves have wondered What they see in me. They try so much But they can't touch My inner mystery. When I try to show them They say they still can't see. I say, It's in the arch of my back, The sun of my smile, The ride of my breasts, The grace of my style. I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me. Now you understand Just why my head's not bowed. I don't shout or jump about Or have to talk real loud. When you see me passing It ought to make you proud. I say, It's in the click of my heels, The bend of my hair, the palm of my hand, The need of my care, 'Cause I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me. Maya Angelou

Cabdow Posted June 7, 2008 am so enjoying being the Dictator! Hahahaa....Horta, Unasemaje kwa kiswahili...dictator? Sema pole pole nooh Keep ya head up ladies!! since we all came from a woman Got our name from a woman and our game from a woman I wonder why we take from our women Why we rape our women, do we hate our women? I think it's time to kill for our women Time to heal our women, be real to our women And if we don't we'll have a race of babies That will hate the ladies, that make the babies And since a man can't make one He has no right to tell a woman when and where to create one So will the real men get up I know you're fed up ladies, but keep your head up

Aaliyyah Posted June 12, 2008 I'm happy to be a woman because we are highly regarded in Islam alhmadulilaah. Subahanalah, the paradise lies under the feet of the mothers. What is more powerful than that ?? ---------------------------- Ibn Masoud said, “I never regretted anything except a day that passed by without having increased my deeds.”
RedSea Posted June 13, 2008 ^I completely agree. 1. The first human being to except Islam was a woman (Khadija). 2. The first to die for Islam was a women. ...just to name few.
