Conspiracy Posted September 13, 2005 This test only has one question, but it's a very important one. By giving an honest answer, you will discover where you stand morally. The test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation in which you will have to make a decision. Remember that your answer needs to be honest, yet spontaneous. Please scroll down slowly and give due consideration to each line. =============================================== THE SITUATION You are in Florida, Miami to be specific. There is chaos all around you caused by a hurricane with severe flooding. This is a flood of biblical proportions. You are a photojournalist working for a major newspaper, and you're caught in the middle of this epic disaster. The situation is nearly hopeless. You're trying to shoot career-making photos. There are houses and people swirling around you, some disappearing under the water. Nature is unleashing all of its destructive fury. =============================================== THE TEST Suddenly you see a man in the water. He is fighting for his life, trying not to be taken down with the debris. You move closer. Somehow the man looks familiar. You suddenly realize who it is. It's George W. Bush! At the same time you notice that the raging waters are about to take him under forever. You have two options--you can save the life of George W. Bush, or you can shoot a dramatic Pulitzer Prize-winning photo, documenting the death of one of the world's most powerful politicians. =============================================== THE QUESTION Here's the question, and please give an honest answer: Would you select high contrast color film, or would you go with the classic simplicity of black and white? mojam Posted September 13, 2005 Eventhough we're talking about Bush, i would choose the following: "...if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people ..." 5:

Kashafa Posted September 14, 2005 High contrast color film- The better for the world to see in magnified detail, the final throes of a modern-day Pharoah: The gaping mouth gasping for air, hands outstretched begging for succor, that smug we'll-smoke'em-out smirk replaced by a long drawn-out death shriek. Animal Farm Posted September 14, 2005 It takes seconds to take the picture, and while you’re contemplating which action you’ll lean towards, you can do both. Take the picture and save his life – you can’t let human beings suffer especially if you’ve got the chance to save them – he is human after all. If I can’t save him and its too late, and saving him means risking my own life, I would refrain, and take my pictures.
Baluug Posted September 14, 2005 You don't need to make a choice between the two,you could snap a pic of "poor" Bushie and then yank him out. Then you have proof that you rescued the president, and you shall live happy, heavily compensated in monetary value for your deed. And then you can brag about it to all your friends. Xalimopatra Posted September 14, 2005 ^ I think we're not supposed to think outside the box boys.Lets act like there really is only 2 seconds until he is pulled under and we only have enough time to make 1 action...... Me?Black and white film.Simple...I would ask him to "Say farmaajo Ol' boy!" before I snap away and then wave bye like its 1999
Jafarel. Posted September 14, 2005 what's the difference? Both show the guy been washed away.... I don't get the connection between morality and choice of photo colour...
Warrior of Light Posted September 14, 2005 I would go for black and white>> shows the facts with colour >> may mean that u added some interesting statements or white lies?? Well thats what I think when relating it to morality. Maybe vice versa. Cons waiting for the answer.
N.O.R.F Posted September 14, 2005 The starking contrasts of water and human beings is always a good picture wherever you are. Since i wasnt asked the question on saving his life, i would only like to answer BLACK AND WHITE baby!
Miriam1 Posted September 14, 2005 I would save him since his death would mark him as a hero among his people. A story maybe fabricated about him saving some poor old baby and drowning, and soon or later we would be seeing streets named after him and status in every city square..and more Bush Alike Leaders follow...and Chaos follows...Why make a matry out of him.. .save him and take a Picture of his Pathetic whimpering....SNAP...(CAPTION) "Leader of the Free World Lost in the Flood, After playing a Game of Golf!, Questions of Leadership Arise!"
