Did anyone hear the BBC Somali World Service today? They were interviewing Somali Students at Ottawa and Carlton Universities.

 

I am sure some of you know these students who were interviewed! They were very good and provided a fascinating insight into the education of Somalis in Canada.

 

My only slight reservation was that many of these students did not speak Af-Somali!

 

All the students were very ambitious and wanted to go into further education, whether doing a Masters Degree or a PhD. All the students expressed an interest in going back to Somalia to help build the nation.

 

Mashallah to all the Canadians! May Allah make it easier for all of you to do well in your chosen paths!

 

P.S apparently there are 200,000 Somalis in Canada! Thats fascinating!
