Non-Af-Somaali Thread!

This thread is for those of us with limited grasp command of the Somaali language. Lately it appears that there has been an over-exposure of the Somaali language in this forum, albeit a somali forum. We feel left out of the interesting discussion between those with a good grasp of Af-Somaali and the wrong side of 40. And no matter how bad people like Ibtisam and others try to write in Af-Somaali and integrate them among the elite of SOL, no one is convinced.

 

Wouldnt it easy for everyone if we standardised the language format of the forum. Preferably in English!

Those who want to write long lectures and essays should in Somali should go the the farax section, aka, dood wadag section.

 

 

p.s it is annoying when MMI writes in a mixture of english and Somali.

Dobbs do agree but u cnt dictate to ppl which language they can write in, if you (and i)cnt read its our problem not theirs.

 

btw did you go to that talk at QM yest, dat Somaalee sheikh couldnt make it but it was still good.

Ibtisam's Soomaali isn't that bad...At end of the day we do understand the point she is trying to get across...No matter how much people make fun of her Somali writing skills (all in good intentions of course ), she doesn't stop...And cuz of that she is getting much much much better at it...Kudos to Ibtisam iyo dadka la mid ah... :cool:
