As for the case, I don't know what the basic facts were, but sounds wrong. I hate taxis. If you are in London I would advise you use those pre-booked ones where they text you the name of driver, car everything beforehand. They are regulated, registered and much safer, price is only few quid’s more or something, not enough to be molested or kidnapped.
