Deeq A. Posted March 28, 2021 Somali military conducted planned operations in parts of the Lower Shabelle region to flush out the militants from Al-Shabaab in the supply routes. The operation which took place in Bulo Haji village left a senior Al-Shabaab commander Ismail Jiis and 10 Al-Shabaab fighters dead, according to the army radio. There is still no comment from the Al-Shabaab responding to SNA’s claims of heavy losses on the militants. For the past few months, SNA’s Danab Special Forces have stepped up operations against al-Shabaab in southern Somalia, including the Lower Shabelle region near Mogadishu.
