Galmudug leader meets with AMISOM head

The President of Galmudug Ahmed Abdi Kariye (Qoor Qoor) met with the envoy of the African Union and Head of AMISOM Amb. Francisco Madeira .

According to the sources, Qoor Qoor and Madeira discussed efforts to improve security in Galmudug.

They also discussed electoral issues and efforts to finalize the electoral process in the coming talks between the regional states and the Federal Government of Somalia.

In the past few days, the international community has been trying to push the leaders of the country to hold a meeting in Mogadishu that seeks an inclusive deal on the election.
