The border between Kenya and Somalia is provisional border. In fact, until the Arusha Agreement signed by late premier Mohamed I. Ibrahim Igal was intended only  to end hostility and conflict.

There were no agreement about official border demarcation or annexation of Kenya of the northern frontier district (NFD). Any future Somali president can demand the return of NFD from Kenya.
