An explosion heard in Somali capital

An IED blast was reported in the vicinity of the former Turkish embassy building near the KM4 junction in the Somali capital, Mogadishu on Sunday morning.

Witnesses say the explosion heard at Abdikasim Salad around 8:15 am local time and was followed by gunfire that continued for several minutes.
