RedSea Posted October 12, 2008 there are little more than 6 billion people on this planet. Give each 1 billion dollar, all of our problem solved. Is this reasonable? This would only cost about 6 billion, a stark contrast to the 700B financial bailout the U.S congress just passed.
Allamagan Posted October 12, 2008 ^sounds boring and unworkable scheme. Anyway if they can do a successful 700B bank bailouts why not world wide poverty bailouts. BTW why not send this to these guys they may listen to you.
RedSea Posted October 12, 2008 It sure beats bailing out big corparation and corrupt CEOs anyday. the down side is everyone would rich and corrupt. Every insidious human being would have the money to purchase anything they wanted to.

RedSea Posted October 12, 2008 Yes one billion dollars for each human living on this planet adam.
Suldaanka Posted October 12, 2008 Redka if you share 700 Billion dollars for the 6 billion humans on earth, they each will get just over $100 Dollars. But if you want to give each 1 Billion dollars, then you'll need at least 36 trillion dollars.
RedSea Posted October 12, 2008 if we reduce down to several thousand each, then would $700B work?
Suldaanka Posted October 12, 2008 (700x10^9)/(6x10^9) = 700/6 = $116 dollars each. I think was wrong with the 36 trillion dollar suggestion. Here is the math for 1billion dollar each: (6x10^9) billion x (1x 10^9) = 6x10^18 or $6,000,000,000,000,000,000 godzillion or whatever that means. The current total size of the global economy is around 60 trillion dollars. The US and EU countries amount to half of that.
Baluug Posted October 12, 2008 ^LOL@Godzillion, that's a huge number when you've got God involved Red, this wouldn't work because if everyone all of a sudden had a billion dollars, automatically inflation would rise astronomically, and a loaf of bread would cost a trillion bucks. The total amount would be 6 billion dollars if each person is given $1. We would need way more than 6 billion dollars to afford to give a billion dollar to each person. ilax Posted October 13, 2008 In general the Red'idea goes in line with the world resources distrobution, these guys are talking bail-out of one and only big compnay. What about the world poverty, who is going to baill-out, no one,it not their head ache at all. About not less than 600 million people in this planet goes to bed with empty stomach one way or another. Look the animals like caws and pits in North America and Europe are living better live than human being in the developing countries. Is it fair or is it by fate? Allah knows best, what do you say? Aaliyyah Posted October 13, 2008 Giving people free money would only add to the problem. If that was the case who would do the minimum wage jobs??...I think the world would go crazy As they say too many cooks spoil the food, similarly too many rich people will spoil the world...
