A Prominent Somaliland Traditional Leader Passes Away Hargeisa

(PP News Desk) — Suldan Mohammed Suldan Abdulqadir yesterday passed away in Hargeisa. President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Mohammed Abdullahi Mohammed has sent a message of condolence to the family of the traditional leader.

Suldan Mohammed took part is several Somali reconciliation confrences. Traditional leaders have described the legacy of Suldan Mohammed as one of peace-building.

Suldan Mohammed Abdullahi has left behind a legacy of peace-building.

Suldan Mohammed Abdulqadir advocated a pro-active role for traditional leaders to compliment the work of politicians. Suldan Mohammed belonged to a respected family with a long history of traditional leadership.

Suldan Mohammed was today buried in Hargeisa. A new traditional leader was appointed after the funeral.
