Deeq A. Posted February 13, 2021 At least one person was killed and seven people were wounded in a car bomb explosion in Mogadishu on Saturday morning. In a statement, Somali police confirmed the casualties of the blast, saying the attack was aborted by security forces after firing the VBIED at Sayidka Checkpoint. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, but the police pointed the finger of the blame at Al-Shabaab, Al-Qaeda’s branch in East Africa.
