Baluug Posted February 16, 2008 K’naan - Recording Album in Jamaica. That's where i'm at. Hope you all are well. I've been recording in between the legendary Tuff Gong Studios and Bob Marley's old home studio in Kingston, Jamaica. I'm here with Damain and Stephen Marley, my band, and my film maker friend Kim Chapiron. I can't really talk too much about what's going on, but I can honestly say, it's sincere magic. Also, I should take this time to mention that I've signed a deal with A&M/Octone, a powerful label with a short roster including Maroon 5 and The Hives. We'll talk to you guys again when there is something more to share, and if there are questions, you can post them or email me, and i'll try and respond. I send love. K'naan. It's about time. Taken from K'Naan's myspace page.

Dhubad. Posted December 24, 2008 I love this new song about 'Somalia' in his new album TROUBADOUR which will be coming out sometime in January http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1q1Lwv0VBA Powerful words: "Do you see why its amazing when someone comes out of such a dire situation and learns the English language just to share his observation? probly get a Grammy without a grammar education, so **** you school and **** you immigration, and all of you who thought i wouldnt amount to constipation. and now im here without the slightest fear and reservation. they love me in the slums and the native reservations. the world is a ghetto administring deprivation "

STOIC Posted December 24, 2008 I was impressed when I saw how he wows even the white crowds. Dude is talented and got some pretty dope songs. His power of words can really move a crowd. He normally exudes a socially conscious words and energy that you will rarely see in today’s contemporary hip-hop music. When you listen to his songs you know you are in it for a treat. Its been ages since I ever bought a CD from a store (always download them ) but I think I might cap that CD to support K’naan so he can continue to spit some socially conscious words….. Urban Posted December 24, 2008 So.. this was back in February! What is it with these artists and release delays! By the way, is anyone eagerly waiting for Maxwell's new album? It was supposed to be released last February but there's still no word on it.

Sir-Qalbi-Adeyg Posted December 25, 2008 K'naan has the most annoying voice, but is a talented lyricist no doubt. He should just stick to producing and writing music.

Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar Posted December 26, 2008 Awdhubad, when he, Keynaan, used to spell his name K-9 ayaa la kulmay back in 2000, I think. Also a few years ago ku arkay at a Soomaali soccer tournament. Nin wanaagsan u egyahay, koley saa u arkay ka wadaa. There was a SOLer who used to have a huge crush on him. My lips, err fingers, are tight, though.
