N.O.R.F Posted June 8, 2010 LoL@hijacking Bob, hip hop died when the big corporates realised they were losing too much money. BOB Posted June 8, 2010 Bro Hip Hip lost its way when it left the ghetto and went to reside in the posh suburbs across the globe leaving behind its true fans and eventually alienating them. I'm not saying Hip Hop shouldn't have gone global but rather it shouldn't be used against the same people it is supposed to and used to represent. Back in the day 'Street Cred' meant being close to your community and representing them positively and addressing their social ills but today it lost its meaning and it's made to sound like as if its all about how many cars you own, how many guns you possess, how many jewellery you've got, how many cash money you've in the bank, what kind of drugs you consume and most of all how many females you've been with and for me that's not Hip Hop and it's disrespectful to label it so. I don't listen to any sort of music now, no I don't listen to Qaraami I was never good with Somali music...Sad isn't it? Peace, Love & Unity.
