peasant Posted October 18, 2008 Try tabouli. This is the traditional salad of Lebanon and very popular in turkey as well as it has it roots there. Unlike other salads when it is prepared it can stay in the fridge for a while without getting wet and slimy. The recipe is available all over the net but this one is my favorite one as it has all the ingredients in it and tastes very nice. Ingredients: 1 bunch parsley (stems removed and finely chopped) 1 medium tomato, chopped (I use roma tomato) 3 tbsp finely chopped onion (white onion) 3 tbsp bulgar, fine grind ½ tsp dried leaf mint (mint is optional) 3 tbsp olive oil ½ tsp salt juice of half a lemon Preparation: In a salad bowl, combine all ingredients together.
