Aaliyyah Posted November 26, 2008 Subhanalah the following Ayas filled my eyes with tears ...since most of us are not fluent arabic speakers, a lot of times the Quran doesnt fill us with emotion since we dnt understand half of it.But, once you actually pay attention to the meaning you would be in tears. Surah Al Haqq ayahs 25-32 25 But as for him who is given his record in his left hand, he will say oh, would that I had not been given my book.. 26 And knew not what my reckoning 27 Oh, would that it had been death 28 My wealth hath not availed me 29 My power had gone from me 30 It will be said take him and fetter him 31 And then expose him to hell fire.. 32 And then insert him in a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits… Subhanalah sometimes we underestimate whats waiting for us if we deviate from the right path. May allah swt guide us all You can listen to this surah being recited by sheikh imam faisal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kU_Q8lk0wMM I wonder if this imam has a website where we can listen to him reciting the whole Quran, he recites beautifully. also check out this kid who is reciting the quran: imagine having a son who recites the Quran in such manner, wouldn't you give up the world for that...shows how it pays off to invest in your kids. salaam ------------------------- 093.004 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. SayidSomal Posted November 26, 2008 and these ayas filled my heart with happiness - enjoy! 19) Now as for him whose record shall be placed in his right hand, he will exclaim: "Come you all!" Read this my record! (20) Behold, I did know that [one day] I would have to face my account! (21) And so he will find himself in a happy state of life, (22) in a lofty paradise, (23) with its fruits within easy reach. (24) [And all who are thus blest will be told:] "Eat and drink with good cheer in return for all [the good deeds] that you have sent ahead in days gone by

Urban Posted November 26, 2008 That's one of my favourite surahs Aaliyah, and I think the best voice I've heard it in was Ahmed Al Ajmi's. He also cries in the recitation when he reaches that part. Ar-Rahman is such a beautiful verse too. *Blessed, aswat al islam's content is amazing, but mp3quran.net has clearer mp3s with a high 'bit rate'. Check it out. Everytime the sheikh cried, I cried too, without understanding one word coming out of him, 'cept ofcourse qaala Laah, Jahanam, Janaatin.. Subhanaalah, the power of Allah's Kalam! Pucca Posted November 27, 2008 ^why are you smiling? ignoring that creepy smile...aaliyah darling, thanks for the reminder...surat al-haqq serves as a wake-up call for whenever i feel myself slipping on the iman scale. Ar-rahman(sudais reads it beautifully) and luqman(minshawi reads it best) are two of my fav surahs in the quran...
