General Duke Posted February 14, 2009 I want to gather information on building some roads back home, any engineers or project managers on SOL? I need advice and guidance. What are the costs involved, and what are the main requirements? I am not talking about an autobahn, just a basic road of the same quality as the main road that travels from Mogadishu to Bossaso. Design Top surface - asphalt 40/50mm Middle surface - road base 250mm Bottom surface - sub base 250mm Compacted sand base Cost (UAE cost - should be similar to Somalia cost) Asphalt - $11/m3 Road base - $10/m3 Sub base - $10/m3 Compact sand with roller $5/m2 How many kilometers?
