Aaliyyah Posted October 19, 2009 Man, 21, faces judge in drunk-driving deaths Posted: October 19, 2009, 12:24 PM by Rob Roberts A 21-year-old man facing 16 charges in the weekend deaths of a Toronto family made his first appearance in court this morning. Roman Luskin is charged with three counts of impaired driving causing death. According to police Luskin was driving his BMW at a speed of about 200km/hour in a 60 km/hour zone on Finch Avenue West and Tobermory Drive when he t-boned a minivan carrying five passengers. “The vehicle split in two,” Staff. Sgt. Ed Roseto said of the victim’s car. Hon To, 44, her daughter Christine Taing and a third passenger were thrown from the vehicle by the force of the impact and pronounced dead at the scene. To's husband Pho Taing and another female passenger were rushed to hospital with critical injuries. The force of the impact was so violent, the minivan was torn in half. The family was on their way home from church when the accident occurred. Toronto police outlined the charges in this case in a press release this morning: 1) three counts of Criminal Negligence Cause Death, 2) two counts of Criminal Negligence Cause Bodily Harm, 3) three counts of Impaired Driving Cause Death, 4) two counts of Impaired Driving Cause Bodily Harm, 5) three counts of Refuse to Supply Sample Cause Death, 6) two counts of Refuse to Supply Sample Cause Bodily Harm, 7) Fail to Comply Recognizance. Kool_Kat Posted October 19, 2009 For some odd reason I though the passengers of the van were Somali? Cuz who else would have five passenger in a van past/close to midnight! Asians baaban iloobay...
