Jacaylbaro Posted September 20, 2009 A court has reduced the rent of a couple who live in a flat with such thin walls they could hear their neighbour peeing. Peter and Susana Keller have had the rent on their home in Berlin, Germany, reduced by 10%. Noise pollution experts said the sound of a man next door urinating into the loo was "clear, distinct and plainly very irritating". Mr Keller was delighted with the outcome. "I am very happy with the outcome, although it will not solve the problem in itself. "It is though some compensation after having to put up with something which has been very unpleasant for us. "It was not just the noise itself that was a problem but the fact that you knew exactly what the source of the noise was in complete detail. "It was terrible to listen to if you heard it just as you were sitting down to your dinner." There was no comment from the landlord, sadly missing an opportunity to say the judge was "taking the piss".
LuugDheer Posted September 20, 2009 sxb this is very weird info u got, but am surprised Mr.Peeing all the time was not penalize for this as well, maybe he should counter sue for the couples if hears night time bedroom action.
SpectaKooler Posted September 21, 2009 10%? lol. Such a Cheap couple. Why didnt they just move? Besides, Im pretty sure the wall is thin on the other side. Wonder if those neighbors got their rents reduced on the basis of not getting any privacy even when peeing from their intrusive neighbors.
