Agree that was a statement from the heart, a painful rejoinder of what UAE did in here. But, still, allowing all respect to the lady (God knows she deserves it), the trouble is that the Palestinian leadership who lack a collective leadership and are divided on a factional basis even when they are under occupation. Instead of having one militant voice, that speaks for them all.

But, now, every Arab State (or even the Iranians along with Turkey) can have by a drop of the hat some Palestinian faction "leaning" on them for support, and pretending as if they speak for what is good for the "Occupied territories". And that, in turn, will make it so easy for the hapless Palestinians to be exploited by everyone within the region and without.

Maanta yaa kaa fiican adiga oo caaytamin after all there is hope for you.

Falastiin fursadihii soo maray waagi 1970s and 80s kama aysan faaidin ayaga oo ka tala qaadan jiray carab aan dantooda wadin laakiin it's too late  now the falastiin case is over and done with it.

Somalidana inay ka cashar qaadato ayaa u haboon inta ay goori goortahay.

A monumental miscalculation by bin Zayed for the benefit of Trump and Netanyahoo. Already the Palestinian leaders are calling it "Great betrayel"

"Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said he "rejects and denounces the surprising announcement by Israel, the United States and the UAE," and called it a "betrayal of Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian cause." A senior adviser to Abbas read the statement from outside the PA president's Ramallah headquarters."

No wonder people were calling bin Sayid "Shataan Al Carab". What is the benefit for UAE?

“There is no such thing as a permanent enemy nor a permanent friend... only permanent interests!”

The Arabs and Israelis are only doing this to counter Iranian and Turkish ambitions in the Middle East. However, for genuine normalization of relations and rapprochement to occur between the Arabs and Israelis, the two state solution must be fully implemented and a viable independent Palestinian state must rise. Only then can they ever hope to counter Turkish and Iranian aspirations in the region.

p.s

Reports say that the U.A.E might be doing this to seek the protection of the powerful Israeli lobby in the U.S just in case Biden wins the election later this year.

Unlike Saudia which has the largest economy in Gulf and the world’s biggest oil exporter, the Emirates are less important to America and perhaps are a bit more circumspect about the likely policies of a Democratic administration that could decide to punish them for their involvement in Yemen and other places these last few years.

Tillamook,

The Israeli lobby though still powerful couldn't stop the reelection of the squad. More importantly, Elliott Engel, the chairman of foreign services committee, and staunch Isreal supporter, lost his reelection to another progressive.

The Gulf Arabs are clueless. Saudi Arabia even managed to alienate Pakistan.

It will be interesting to see if Somaliland will follow the footsteps of their biggest investor and have some kind of relationship with Israel.
