Somalina Posted March 13, 2010 get married if you want to have kids..ASAP...if not, get married if you feel lonely...after all marriage is a companionship... Dating is more practical, you get more out of it than marriage... I dated this guy for 3 years, and now we are planning to get married..i guess we figured that we can tolerate each other no matter what... Don't fall for someone right away and decide that you want to spend the rest of your life with them...take your sweet time...find out what you have in common, study their bad habits early on, do your homework.... thats my 2 cents..peace
Honesita Posted March 14, 2010 Ya Allah, this is so sad! Why are some of us so negative about marriage? Why are we so fond of dating? One is Halal the other is Haram! One is secure the other insecure! Dating vs. Marriage? Is this is even a logical alternative? We R MUSLIM for god's sake! Someone said 2-3 years to avoid broken hearts... i say 2-3 years: a recipe for a broken heart! Fi Amaani'Laah

If you are not here to socialise, then talking about your book ventures in a thread isn't a good idea, because some people are bound to find it interesting and want to contact you. Again, not being aggressive. But friendly and encouraging, because you see I myself have published. That is something I might have wanted to tell you. Instead now I have to share it with everyone. But what the hell No offence meant. None taken. Now take a chill pill, OK?
Honesita Posted March 14, 2010 Loooool@ Prince Punt and 2+2=5... What books are ya'll writing? Now I'm interested to know! And please don't include me in this dagaal!
Cara. Posted March 14, 2010 ^It's obvious what the problem is. 5 was going to ask our young royal for story ideas, then use her contacts in the publishing industry to scoop him. Mr. Hereditary Title is wise beyond his years. Unlike other wanna-be authors on SOL who were played by 5's dulcet tones and girly tricks--not naming any names! Chimera Posted March 16, 2010 2+2=5, there are lots of successful brothers and sisters on SOL, including some who have published work, you could have shared that on the board like them, thats no problem. Also i don't consider the topics where i asked a few questions and told of my projects the same as 'socialising', which is more personal. I have bad experience with this type of Internet 101 in PM's, which in the past have led me to meeting sisters in real life because i have difficulty saying no, so hence my vagueness, but this was not your intention, but simply a case of me being paranoid and i see that now. I wish you the best and i apologise for my previous comment, chill pill taken.
5 Posted March 17, 2010 Yeah, sharing isn't really my thing... But cool & the gang, Adam, apology fully accepted (though maybe a tad unnecessary) Perhaps I should start talking to people about my husband, so they don't think I'm looking for guys to ask out?
