The reality is no one knows how this will turn out but Amharas are not in a position to keep Abiy in power or replace him within their own. The Amhara know that the TPLF is still a power which is why they will try to avoid confrontation in the short term. Eventhough the TPLF are edging towards starting the conflict itself and cannot wait until the Amhara consolidate all powers. But one thing is for certain Abiye Ahmed will not last long. Xaaji Xunjuf Posted August 10, 2020 It's only natural for the amharas to come back to power. It's over for the oromo jawar is in prison and is neutralized. Amhara are the only power in Ethiopia left. The tigre are also powerful but will never have the numbers to rule again as they did before.
