This is 60 minute documentary about BoramA,Awdal.Where TVsomalilandEurope's reported went to last April in order to bring us the development and the determination of the people of BoramA,Awdal.

 

It starts with a great interview with Prof.Saleebaan Guuleed,the chairman of the outstanding Amoud University.

 

Also,the documentary touches on and shows us the beauty of the Awdal state and the development of the beatiful city of BoramA.

^ I highly doubt it. The natives there (from what I hear ), pronounce boor as boodh. So, if that were the case, the city would have been called boodhama.

 

As to what it means, I've no idea. It's probably meaningless.

Boorama means beautiful

Ma hubtaa? A whole degmo can't be named beautiful nooh. Dhulka can be beautiful, sida meel barwaawo, ilsan, indhadeeq, maandeeq iyo sareero camal, laakiin degmo gaar ah ma filaayi in la siiye magac saas camal, oo qaanuunka Soomaalida magacaabaan degmooyinka ma u eko.

Thanks to them, now we have many universities throughout the land.

 

Boorama is far from being a dusty town. It is located in a greenish farming area with overlooking hills. Very beaufitul.

 

But the name could be from the somali word "Booraan"/canyon plural "Booraamo".
