Check the website: www.qmsomalisociety.com You did it yourself. and try to calm yourself, its very ungentlemanly....Some might mistake you for me. You will at times forget where you put your keys making you leave the house 2 mins later than expected which might mean you miss your train but thats life. You simply get on with it! I like your enthusiasm but please come up better anecdote next time. It took me almost 10minutes to understand what this abstract example meant! But I understand what your concern and what your trying to do and I am grateful for the advice brother!
N.O.R.F Posted February 19, 2008 ^^At the end of the day youre making a big issue out of trivial matters. Losing your keys for 2 minutes is trivial. Lets concentrate on what the Somali Society does saxib and less of the trivial stuff (thats for the troll corner).

underdog Posted February 19, 2008 This is getting a little too serious, let's lighten the mood with this short story: The Pastor's A$$ The pastor entered his donkey in a race and it won. The pastor was so pleased with the donkey that he entered it in the race again, and it won again. The local paper read: PASTOR'S A$$ OUT FRONT. The Bishop was so upset with this kind of publicity that he ordered the pastor not to enter the donkey in another race. The next day, the local paper headline read: BISHOP SCRATCHES PASTOR'S A$$. This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the pastor to get rid of the donkey. The pastor decided to give it to a nun in a nearby convent. The local paper, hearing of the news, posted the following headline the next day: NUN HAS BEST A$$ IN TOWN. The bishop fainted. He informed the nun that she would have to get rid of the donkey, so she sold it to a farmer for $10. The next day the paper read: NUN SELLS A$$ FOR $10. This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the nun to buy back the donkey and lead it to the plains where it could run wild. The next day the headlines read: NUN ANNOUNCES HER A$$ IS WILD AND FREE. The bishop was buried the next day. The moral of the story is . . . being concerned about public opinion can bring you much grief and misery . . even shorten your life.

I was elected president from March 2006 and resigned in September 2007. During my tenure, I spearhead a transition from a law-less society with no formal structure to one which placed democracy and proper governance on top of its agenda. Some of my main project I undertook includes the follow: - Membership increased by 3/4 - A constitution was written; QMSS adhered to its rules and regulation - The society adopted Islam as being central to how things were conducted - Tribalism was outlawed, according to constitution any member found to be talking about tribalism or inciting hatred was banned. - I want to incorporate as many non-Somalis in the society, to education people about being Somali and inform people misconceptions - In Jan 2007 - we raised £10,000 for the Somali flood victims in south central Somalia. - In March 2007, we held our second successful election, which was observed by independent observers. - In June 2007 - QMSS was the joint-founder of ULUSOMSOC (University of London Somali Society)

Skipper Posted February 19, 2008 Nothing personal to be honest but i am sitting at home wondeing when marca smith will ever talk about something positive? I gather that marca lives in Britain probably london which is by the way not the best and the safest place to live but despite that one should allways remain positive, complaining wont soLve the problems within somali community, if any thing it worsen it. Marca since you are mali i think i should give my advice about london, you know i lived there during 96 and 97 and trust me when i say it was a total night mare being there. If the media are aything to go by i belive the crime rate has soured to sky high with somalis killing somalis amoung others. So take care marca.
