Sophist Posted December 6, 2005 CSU president Mohamed Shuriye knows how quickly a year can pass. Now entering his third year at the Liberal Arts College, the 21-year-old says that to make positive change in such a short time, student involvement is crucial. To be able to leave some sort of legacy, you have to inspire people to carry on the work after you’re gone,†he said. “The more people I can get involved now, http://ctr.concordia.ca/2005-06/sept_15/16/
Castro Posted December 6, 2005 ^ Thanks Sophist. Unfortunately, for every Shuriye, we have 100 under achieving Faraaxs. How sad that is. I applaud the young man. He sure makes me proud. Bravo.
Haneefah Posted December 6, 2005 ^True, however, if the couple of Shuriyes we have and the many equally accomplished Halimos we have collaborate and do active community outreach whereby those under-achieved faraxs are motivated and inspired...we might just have a promising future Insha'Allah. As for this Shuriye, way to go! I think on campus involvement is a crucial part of one's college career, makes your college days that much more interesting.
